Jimin Seo, a conductor and collaborative pianist, is currently a second year Master’s in Choral Conducting at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, and she will pursue another Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano at CCM next year. Jimin earned her bachelor’s degree in Choral Conducting with Organ and Voice as minor programs and also awarded high honors at graduation from the Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. As a collaborative pianist, Jimin had worked with various choirs and singers in Korea and played for various auditions and concerts for many years. 
Her participation as an assistant conductor and music theory teacher as well as an accompanist for both Rainbow Box Youth Orchestra and Happy Tree Youth Choir helped her to build her teaching/couching and conducting careers. Jimin has also participated in a number of different professional choirs as an alto singer, attended conducting masterclasses given by remarkable choral conductors including Simon Carrington, John Alexander, Robert Istad, and Craig Hella Johnson, and she was inspired and also has learned the values of being a leader of integrity, collaborating with various people groups, as well as assimilating into various dynamic for diverse situations. She has conducted not only various major works but also student compositions premiered. Currently, Jimin is a Director of Choirs at Faith Lutheran Church in Finneytown, Ohio and playing for University of Cincinnati Chamber Choir, Women’s Chorus, Chamber Singers, and Cincinnati Girl Choir. In February 2015, she was selected to be a finalist of ACDA Graduate Student Conducting Competition held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
